Happy Ever After episode 40 recap (END)

Akina brought Nadia to stay with the Empress Dowager. Akina asked Nadia to take care of her baby and give birth to a healthy prince for her. Roger made thousand of buns praying for Fiona. The souls came to pick Fiona up. Roger threw buns at the souls and beg gods to forgive Fiona. The next morning, Fiona came up to Roger and they hug each other. Roger told Marianne that he’ll go to the palace to check if there’s any news of the majesty.

The king’s uncle complained to the majesty that Nadia’s father his him and forbids him meet his son. Nadia’s father said the king’s uncle keep on calling him a Han Dog. The prime minister interfere and plead the majesty to sentence Nadia’s father to death. Roger told the majesty that his anniversary is coming up. The majesty announced hosting a happy feast. Roger suggests to have a dinner competition between Han and Manchu. The king’s uncle said if the manchu dish wins then the Qing’s brothel will be built and if he fails if he will demoted to a commoner. Nadia’s father said if the Manchu dish wins then the manuel of alienation between Manchu and Han will be publish and if he fails, he will return to his hometown.

Bobby represents the Han to cook for the majesty. Roger thought of the idea of cooking medical food for Bobby to treat the majesty during the feast. The majesty’s cousin came and told Bobby and Roger that he fell from the hill after fighting with the assassins and it took him a few days to climb back up. Before the feast begins, Wilson requested the majesty that whoever loses this feast will not be able to cook for the majesty again and will h ave to chop their organs. The majesty and Akina walked around the table looking and complimenting the beautiful dishes. Akina stared at Marianne’s father’s dish and told the majesty she doesn’t like to eat black duck eggs. Bobby hopes the majesty will eat his five dishes of flavor salty, spicy, sour, bitter. The majesty picked a dish of five flavors from the kitchen manager. Akina asked the majesty to eat. The magistrate ate the remaining dishes and found it tasty. Bobby won the first round by having thirty six to nineteen chopsticks.

Wilson went in the kitchen getting pissed and checked the wine and found out that Bobby’s stepbrother has betrayed him. Bobby’s stepbrother told Wilson he won’t be his dog anymore using dirty tricks to harm his brother. Wilson slaps Bobby’s stepbrother. The chef told Wilson he doesn’t deserve to be their manager and he asked Bobby’s stepbrother to leave with him. Wilson pushed them and ordered the chefs to die up the chef and Bobby’s stepbrother. Wile carving food, Bobby has a headache. Empress Dowager heard the music. The majesty was about to teat Bobby’s pearl but dropped it. Wilson won by nineteen to eighteen chopsticks. The majesty announced in the third round, the team who fails will be banished from the palace and have its organs be chopped. Bobby felt extremely dizzy. Marianne saw a scent flowing onto Bobby. Bobby’s stepbrother and Marianne confronted Wilson. Wilson said no one said there’s poison in the scent, they can tell the majesty when Bobby loses. Bobby told Marianne that the majesty still has one more medicine to drink. Bobby inserts two needles on his head refrained the poison to go within him for one hour. Wilson and Bobby cooked the same dish of bear.

The majesty’s cousin fought with the guards and barged in the room with the consort saving the Empress Dowager and Nadia. When Bobby served his dish, there were no food on it. Bobby served rice with five colors for the majesty. The majesty ate the rice and complimented it. Bobby fainted. The majesty threw up. Bobby asked the majesty to throw up all the food. Akina ordered the guards to arrest Bobby. Roger told Nadia’s father that they only wanted to heal the majesty and his daughter is locked in the palace. Empress Dowager and Nadia came. Wilson took out this knife and about to stab Bobby. The majesty wakes up and scold if they want to rebel. The majesty slapped Akina. Bobby ache and stay in coma.

The majesty ordered the imperial doctors to hurry and cure Bobby’s illness. Marianne cried and begged the majesty to grant her the poisonous wine. Marianne drinks and fainted. Bobby wakes up. Years later, Bobby and Marianne gave birth to four kids. Bobby teased Marianne that he doesn’t know what kind of wine did the majesty gave her causing her to be pregnant. Bobby showed Marianne the foreign candy that the majesty and Nadia gave him. Bobby searched through his clothes but couldn’t find it and said he forgot that he ate it. The majesty’s eunuch search for the box. Akina came in the majesty’s eunuch room and yelled at him for failing his task and locked him up in the room. Bobby prepared some desserts for Nadia and asked her to taste it. Nadia told Marianne that she thinks if she is pregnant, Bobby will cook her plenty of healthy food. The majesty’s cousin told Nadia that he has built a ship for her and the majesty to leave together. Nadia wonder if she’s a prisoner. The majesty’s cousin doubts how come the majesty hasn’t arrived. Bobby’s family and Roger told Bobby and Marianne the good news that Fiona is pregnant. During the night, Marianne whined to Bobby that Nadia and Fiona are already pregnant. Bobby mumbled it’s because her zodiac sign is a pig. Marianne told Bobby that it is also his fault that she isn’t pregnant. The chefs found it strange that Wilson cook all the meals for the majesty and gets promoted. The majesty wakes up and can’t remember why he wanted to leave the palace. Two assassins in the black suit went in the majesty’s cousin’s room and opened the blanket and saw no one on the bed. As Marianne and Bobby intimately make love with each other, a man in the black suit punched a sword on their bed. Bobby and Marianne got anxious and threw powder on the assassin. The majesty’s cousin held Nadia’s hand and hid from the assassins. The majesty’s cousin took his sword out and saw Bobby and Marianne. The majesty’s cousin asked Marianne and Bobby to run and take care of Nadia for him. The majesty cousin said he can handle the assassins. The majesty’s cousin fought with the assassins and shot six of them. He fought with the last assassin and got kicked by him on the tree. Bobby and Marianne bumped into a carriage and saw the French Captain. Nadia is worried about the majesty being in danger. The French Captain asked Bobby to give him Roger’s address for him to mail the letter and asked him to stay in this house for the time being.

Fiona got a contagious Chicken Pox illness and will die in three days. People threw food at Fiona. Roger picked her up.

The french captain told Bobby that he found the majesty has a problem since the majesty haven’t been in the court for two days and always send the prime minister or Akina to send the edict. Bobby’s stepbrother sneaked in and brought the food that the majesty been eating to Bobby. Bobby tasted the food and his attitude has changed and wants to meet beautiful ladies. Bobby run around touching other girls on the street. The kitchen manager punched Bobby. The kitchen manager said if he eats too much of the majesty’s food, he may die from asthma. Nadia got a plan of dressing as concubines and sneaking in the palace to see the majesty. The French Captain requested to help them walk through the palace.

The french captain gave the magistrate some antiques. Marianne and Nadia dressed as consorts sneaking in the palace. Akina asked the majesty to announce tomorrow that he will build a brothel and promote him as the queen. Akina left for a while. In the room, Nadia impersonated Consort Tak with the lights turn off and asked the eunuch how could Akina framed her. The eunuch said Akina puts the poison in the candle scent so the Empress Dowager can punish her. Nadia asked the eunuch why is the majesty so hypnotized. The eunuch said he has no clue what Akina cooked for the majesty. The Empress Dowager came and asked Nadia to stay and take care of her baby. Akina locked the Empress Dowager and puts her under house arrest.

The guards surrounded the palace searching for Marianne and Nadia. Bobby dresses up as a muslim. The prime minister asked the french captain to let him take a look at the diamond. A guard bowed in front of Nadia. Marianne hit the guard with a vase. Nadia got caught by the guards. Marianne crawled inside the hole to the other side of the wall and found Bobby. The doctor checked Akina’s pulse and said her chance of being pregnant is hard. Akina slapped Nadia for using her beauty to seduce the majesty. Nadia asked Akina if she is happy using poison on the majesty to seduce him. Akina told Nadia that only she can live with the majesty. Nadia said she is pregnant with the majesty and hope she won’t hurt her baby. Akina told Nadia she will raise her prince so he can respect her as an Empress Dowager. Akina laughed loudly.

Nadia’s father told the majesty that Nadia is missing. He plead the majesty to investigate this case for Nadia’s baby. Akina told the Empress Dowager she is on a diet for the wellness of the majesty. The majesty asked the Empress Dowager where did Nadia go. The Empress Dowager she found a good guy to take care of Nadia and hopefully the majesty will forget her.

In the execution scene, Marianne cried that Bobby is about to be beheaded. An elder lady asked Bobby’s mom permission to take Bobby’s blood to make a bun to cure his son’s asthma. Wilson told Bobby after he dies, he will take all his belongings. Marianne slapped Wilson. Bobby is about to be executed; Marianne came and hugged Bobby. Roger arrived with the edict from the majesty giving the order to free Bobby. Bobby angrily ordered the guards to search for Nadia. The prime minister came and asked the majesty why did he gave an order to release Bobby. The majesty angrily yelled at the prime minister that there are many important things to worry in the palace, but he keeps on following Bobby to have a chance to frame him. The majesty asked the prime minister to leave and forbids him to hurt Bobby. Bobby thought of serving the majesty again.

Bobby happily hopes to bear a kid with Marianne. Roger drunkenly wants to sleep with Fiona tonight. Roger asked Fiona why is she so cold to him. Fiona told Roger that she’s always been nice to him but he never cherish it. Bobby bowed in front of the majesty. The majesty asked Bobby to drink with him tonight as his friend. Nadia asked some men to save the majesty’s cousin. The majesty’s cousin asked Nadia why did she saved him if she doesn’t love him. Nadia asked the majesty’s cousin why is he so cowardly as a man, is it worth for him to die for someone who doesn’t love him. Nadia said the majesty and her love each other but can’t be together but also are being gossiped by the world but she still lives. Bobby bowed and beg the Empress Dowager to forgive his wife. The Empress Dowaer got mad and sentenced Bobby along with Marianne for execution. Marianne told Bobby that now he cares for her. Once she gets executed, the majesty won’t dare to break his promise. Bobby trembled and hugged Marianne and told the majesty he can’t keep this secret for him and Nadia anymore to protect his wife. The majesty told the Empress Dowager he plans to bring Nadia to the palace to nurture his prince. The Empress Dowager asked the majesty if Nadia has an engagement with his cousin. The Empress Dowager said Nadia likes the majesty’s cousin and Bobby and doubts if her baby belongs to the majesty. The Empress Dowager asked the majesty if he likes Nadia because she has the same facial features as Consort Tak. The Empress Dowager asked the majesty if she blames her for sentenced Consort Tak to death and now he wants to marry Nadia to go against her wishes. The majesty admits that she has a good impression on Nadia since she looks like Consort Tak but as she got to know her, he likes her for being generous and have a kind heart. The majesty ordered Roger to write calligraphy to alienate Han and Manchu. Roger suggests the majesty to persuade the Empress Dowager while he writes the calligraphy. Nadia tasted the dessert with the majesty. Nadia said Bobby taught her to cook those dessert. The majesty told Nadia she will bring her to the palace soon and have to give her and his prince the best.

The prime minister plans to set up Nadia and his father. Akina stood behind the blind impersonating Nadia talking to the french captain. Wilson asked the french captain to help her become the queen the she’ll help him with the business.The Empress read a paper from the people supporting Nadia as a consort. Nadia’s father ordered his guards to drive the people out. The prime minister’s wife told Empress Dowager that she heard those people were bribed by the frenchmen to support Nadia. The majesty’s cousin apologized to Bobby. Nadia told Bobby she will leave out of town with the majesty’s cousin. Nadia ache her belly. Nadia asked Bobby to not tell anyone that she is staying in the capital especially the majesty. Bobby chased the canoe and called Marianne to get out. He knows she’s hiding. Bobby got shot by the three arrows shooting by the majesty’s cousin. Marianne cried. Bobby asked Marianne if she could forgive him for marrying Nadia. Marianne cried and agrees to let Bobby marrying Nadia as long as he’s fine. Mariane’s father is surprised there was no blood. Marianne took out the mirror inside Bobby’s shirt. Bobby said he had a strange feeling so he put this mirror inside for safety. Marianne told Bobby if he insists on marrying Nadia, she will seduce other men. Marianne closed her room leaving Bobby outside.

The majesty’s cousin teach the guards how to shoot the arrows and said to be a good shooter, they have to have vengeance. The majesty invited the majesty’s cousin to his court. The majesty’s cousin showed the majesty a golden arrow and asked if those belongs to him. The majesty’s cousin said that those arrows belong to him since it has his name on it. The majesty asked his cousin if he knows how did he found those arrows. The majesty’s cousin said perhaps he has seen him showing the guards to shoot. The majesty compliment he’s a good shooter which is why someone got shot by him. The majesty’s cousin asked the majesty what does he mean. The majesty told his cousin he uses his status as a prince to use his arrows to shoot someone behind their back. The majesty asked his cousin if he shot Bobby yesterday. The majesty’s cousin mumbled. The majesty scold his cousin for dating to shoot someone on the street without following the law. The majesty’s cousin said Bobby continuously wants to steal his girlfriend. The majesty asked his cousin if Bobby stole his girlfriend or it was his wishful thinking of being with Nadia. The majesty told his cousin, he made a mistake but he blames it on someone else. The majesty asked the prime minister and his uncle for opinions in opening the gate for the frenchman. The prime minister and the king’s uncle believe it is a good thing to collaborate with the french. Roger’s ex returns home and told Roger anxiously that his mother is missing. Fiona returns home and slapped Roger’s ex for causing Roger’s mother to pick up food on the street. Roger’s ex said she didn’t mean to and complains to Roger that Fiona slapped her. Roger yelled at his ex and ask her to chill out.

Marianne told Nadia that there are many great men in this world who can cook better than Bobby, why does she has to steal her husband. Marianne cried and told Nadia she is pretty and talented and there mus be many guys who loves her. Nadia cried and said she didn’t mean to snatch Bobby from her but she has no choice. Nadia apologizes to Marianne. Bobby followed her and pushed her away from the cart. Bobby took a look at Marianne’s bruise. Marianne asked Bobby if he still cares for her, why does he has to marry Nadia. Marianne asked Bobby if he has something he can’t tell. Marianne packed her stuff and asked Bobby to run away with her. Nadia and her maid came and asked for some medicines.The store owner told Nadia she supports her. Nadia and Marianne faces each other. The prime minister and the king’s uncle watch them and laugh that they’ve caused Nadia and her father to lose faces. Bobby and Marianne bowed in the court. The prime minister mentions about the majesty take up the case to the Empress Dowager. The Empress Dowager remembers Nadia as the Han girl who has the same facial features as Consort Tak and believes this case has a story behind it. The majesty told Marianne she must support Bobby. Marianne asked the majesty if he remembers that he told Bobby to love her when they got married, but now why didn’t he punish Bobby for loving another woman. Marianne asked the majesty if he’s allowed to break his promise. The Empress Dowager came and asked Marianne how dare she pick on the majesty. Marianne asked the majesty if he uses his power to bully a girl like her. The Empress Dowager ordered Marianne to be executed.

Bobby gave Roger a letter to give it to the majesty but he told him that he cannot tell him what is in the letter. Marianne saw Bobby keep on fidgeting on the bed and she asked her what’s his worries. Bobby told Marianne that he felt strange that Wilson didn’t do anything. Marianne went back to sleep. Fiona puts on the jacket for Roger’s mother. Roger gave Fiona some money to buy some nutrition for his mother. Marianne told Fiona that Bobby haven’t been sleeping well lately and she doubts what his concern. Marianne and Fiona watches a guy who knocked himself on the wall. Marianne asked Fiona to be firm and make sure that Roger’s ex doesn’t cheat Roger’s money. Marianne and Fiona saw Roger’s ex going to the jewelry. Roger’s ex held a jade bracelet and plead the store owner to lower the price. Marianne came and nitpick on Roger’s ex that if she doesn’t have the money then please choose a cheaper bracelet. Roger asked Marianne that she thought being a concubine she can have everything but why is she sop pityful. Marianne touched Roger’s ex chin and asked her why has she become so skinny. Roger’s ex said she knows they tease her just to let go of their anger. Marianne held the mirror in front of Roger’s ex. Marianne said she is happy seeing Roger’s ex pale figure. Bobby and the french man taste each other’s wine. The prime minister chats with the magistrate about hoping that the french will collaborate with them. The magistrates and the prime minister are not satisfied with the han working for the manchu and tries to prevent the majesty to marry a han. The magistrate said they will ask the fifth prince and the eight prince to persuade the frenchmen. Bobby meets with Nadia and said she already sent someone to deliver her letter for the majesty. Bobby said this situation wouldn’t be complicated if the majesty’s cousin wasnt’ here but it is also tough to deal with the Empress Dowager. Marianne followed Bobby and an ink fell on her forehead. Marianne looked up at the restaurant and saw Bobby and Nadia.

Bobby returns home. Marianne massages him hard and asked him where did he go this afternoon. Bobby said he went to console Roger about having a concubine. Marianne asked Bobby what did he and Nadia talk about. Bobby told Marianne he wanted to invite her but Nadia felt sick. Marianne listens to Bobby’s heartbeat. The majesty’s cousin held the cup and thought about Nadia. The majesty asked his cousin why doesn’t he ever get tired. The majesty’s cousin said he always have energy as long as he always think of Nadia. The majesty feels dizzy and wants to throw up. The majesty’s eunuch gave the majesty a letter. The majesty read the letter and was thrilled and gave an order to go back to the palace. The majesty happily told Nadia he always dream of having a prince. The majesty told Nadia he’s planning to bring her to the palace. Nadia told the majesty that she already has an arrange marriage with his cousin and the Empress Dowager forbids him to marry a han as a consort. Nadia thought of leaving home to a faraway place and wait until she gives birth to her son. The majesty wants to borrow Bobby to pretend to be Nadia’s fiance. The majesty invited Bobby and Marianne for a drink of wine. The majesty told Marianne that Bobby often compliment her of being gentle and it is his deed of marrying her. Marianne jealously threw the cup and Bobby nervously ran. Marianne served tea for Bobby and accidentally spilled the tea on his golden shirt. Bobby took out this shirt. Marianne tries to chop Bobby with a knife.

Nadia’s father demanded Nadia to tell him who’s baby does it belong to. Nadia cried and said Bobby’s the father. Roger thought the last time he gave him the letter to send to the majesty was to help him settle with Marianne. Nadia’s father sent an invitation to Bobby. Nadia’s father brought the guards in front Bobby’s house and held he sword and try to chop Bobby. Bobby showed his soup to Nadia’s father. Bobby told a story of a father in law who killed her daughter’s fiance because he is poor but he didn’t know his daugther was pregnant. The bowl fell on Nadia’s father’s sword. Bobby asked Nadia’s father to kill him so his daughter become a widow. Nadia’s father drinks the bowl of soup and told Bobby he has to let his daughter be the first wife and use the sedan chair to invite her and he forbids him of marrying another wife. The majesty’s eunuch ran and gave Bobby the majesty’s edict. Nadia’s father asked the majesty’s cousin to leave. The majesty’s cousin stood in front of Nadia’s room and said though she got raped, he will still love her. The majesty’s cousin asked Nadia to just consider that the baby is his son. Nadia told the majesty’s cousin that this is not his fault, and the more he is nice to her, it will just make her feel guilty. Nadia’s maid asked the majesty’s cousin not to bother Nadia, the situation isn’t as simple Nadia’s maid told the majesty’s cousin that Bobby and Nadia truly loves each other. The majesty’s cousin dressed up and gather his bow and arrow standing on the rooftop and stared at Bobby and Marianne arguing and prepares to shoot Bobby. Bobby got shot by three arrows and fainted.

Nadia brought the majesty to a room. The majesty sat and asked Nadia to pulled out the arrow from his back. Nadia asked the majesty to hang on. She pulled out the arrow and snatched a fabric and cover his wound. Nadia madly said the majesty’s cousin is stubborn and is too much. The majesty smiled and said if he were him, he would also do that since his lover got stolen. The majesty asked Nadia if he was wrong. Nadia said she doesn’t love the majesty’s cousin. Nadia sneezed and dressed up. The majesty hugged Nadia from the back. The majesty touched Nadia and they kissed each other. The majesty embraces Nadia in his arm. Nadia said though she doesn’t love the majesty’s cousin. He is a good guy. The majesty’s cousin and her has a marriage arrangement. Nadia said the majesty’s cousin is a prince and she’s worried. The majesty asked Nadia to take a look. The majesty showed Nadia his badge that he’s the majesty. Nadia returned home. The majesty’s cousin asked Nadia who he is. Nadia told the majesty’s cousin she knows he’s a good guy but she can’t marry him. Nadia told her father if he forces her to marry the majesty’s cousin, she rather not getting married. The majesty’s cousin told Nadia’s father that perhaps it was his pale look that Nadia didn’t like him. The majesty told Bobby he would like to bring Nadia in the palace but the empress dowager forbids him to appoint any han as a consort. Bobby told the majesty that the empress dowager is very stubborn,if he tells her he appointed Nadia as a consort when she returns to the palace, the consequence may be devastated. Bobby suggests the majesty to build his relationship with the empress dowager then slowly convince her.

The majesty complimented Roger’s sorting out the manuel. The prime minister teased Roger of having a concubine. The majesty laughed that the prime minister do care for Roger. The majesty asked Roger to take care. Roger told Fiona that he knows she’s a kind wife but it is not time to discuss who is right or wrong but they have to solve this problem. Fiona asked Roger how should they solve. Roger told Fiona he wants to bring his ex home. Fiona told Roger that she doesn’t forbid him having concubines but she cannot be his ex since his ex is tricky. Fiona told Roger that she pretends to be pity to win his sympathy. Roger said he’s been gossiped at the court and he wants to give his ex a status and he hopes she can accept him. Fiona apologized and said she can’t accept her. Fiona told Roger if he wants to take care of his ex, he can let his ex stay in another house and have a maid taking care of her. Fiona told Roger she just wants him to leave his ex. Roger told Fiona she wants to make it hard for him. Roger stood in the rain watching his ex kneeling in front of his house. Roger’s ex said she’ll kneel until Fiona accepts her. Roger’s ex said even if she dies, she still feels worthy. Roger hugs his ex and said she doesn’t care what Fiona thinks, he is the boss of the house and will marry her as a concubine. Fiona sat and cried in the rain. Marianne and Bobby’s mother and Roger’s mother consoled Fiona. Bobby and the chefs sat on the table and chat how they hid from their wives to attend Roger’s party. The majesty gave the empress dowager a box of gingseng. The majesty told empress dowager he would like to bring a han girl to massage her. The empress dowager said she doesn’t want any han girl to touch her and she doesn’t want anyone to mention about han girls in the palace.

The majesty teased Nadia if she will be grumpy is she turns old. Nadia told the majesty that she met the empress dowager before and she found her lookalike someone and she gave her a vase as a gift. She didn’t want to live in the palace. The majesty said fate have let her live in the palace. She will try to persuade the empress dowager when he returns. Nadia worries the majesty’s cousin will persist to marry her. The majesty ordered his cousin to travel with him for three months. The majesty’s cousin told the majesty that he is almost getting married but there’s been someone who tries to get in his way so he have to get married sooner. The majesty asked his cousin to focus on his work and if this girl won’t wait for him in three months, then they are not fated to be together. The french captain deals with the prime minister to build his business in exchange for money.The french captain tried the food in Bobby’s restaurant and feel disappointed. The french captain said he tofu dish has too much water which lose the freshness of the fish. The crab dish has too much fire. The meat isn’t sour nor sweet enough. Bobby taste the food and said his critique is right but he is impressed he can point out the flaw. Bobby asked the french captain what is the flaw of chinese food. The french captain said chinese food have too much fats. Bobby thinks it depends on how the cook saute the dish. The french captain said he finds french food a level higher. Bobby assumes the french captain has never tried the chinese food. The french captain challenges Bobby to a duel in seven days and they will cook one dish. Bobby plans to cook Beijing duck to compete against the French.

The french captain cooks the duck. As the french captain slices the kiwi, Bobby felt dizzy. The french captain complimented Bobby that his duck makes him eat more, he admits loss. The prime minister said Bobby’s duck is only a regular dish. The french captain said the duck is fresh and there’s a scent of a beef. The french captain asked Bobby how did he cook the duck. Bobby said he let the duck drink the cow milk. The french captain asked Bobby about his special sauce. Bobby said this is his secret ingredient. Bobby welcomes the french captain to eat at his restaurant. They shake hands. Wilson smirked at Bobby. Bobby visits Nadia. Nadia asked Bobby if he can send a message to the majesty to hurry and return to the palace. Nadia worries after three months it will be too late. Nadia asked Bobby to ride a horse and send a message to the majesty. Nadia touched her belly showing she’s pregnant with the majesty. Bobby asked Nadia if he should congratulates her.

Fiona brushes the hair for Marianne. Marianne is happy that Bobby has been focusing on his work. Roger’s ex-girlfriend hugged Roger and said she can’t forget him. Fiona went in the room and saw Roger’s ex laid down with Roger. While Fiona nagged Roger, Roger’s ex cut her arm trying to kill herself. Roger’s mother slapped Roger and asked Roger to find Fiona. Fiona cried and sighed to Marianne she can’t blame Roger since she is cheap and cause him to lose faces. Marianne asked Fiona to not forgive Roger easily and wait for Roger to beg he to go home. Marianne told Fiona that though she loves Bobby she still has to keep an eye on him. Bobby brought Roger to Fiona. Roger told Fiona he was drunk so he didn’t know what he was doing. He promised her he will take care of her forever. Marianne told Roger that Fiona has helped him to save money for the scholar exam and he wouldn’t be in this status without Fiona. Now that he’s rich he wants to dump her. Fiona asked Roger to leave. Bobby asked Marianne to shut. Roger left. Roger stood in the rain outside waiting for Fiona. Roger’s ex came and told Roger she only wants to be with him. Roger asked her ex to go home. Fiona watch Roger and his ex lover. Thunderstorm broke and Roger’s ex hugged Roger. Nadia’s parents returned home and ate with Nadia. Bobby served Nadia and her father a bowl of fish soup, and fried corn, and beef,pig ear, bear, deer, and rabbit meat.

The majesty’s eunuch showed Nadia the board of the calligraphy from the manuel. The majesty gave Nadia the first manuel and said he already pacify the majesty to unban he manuel. The majesty asked Nadia about her wish. Nadia asked the majesty not to laugh. Nadia said her dream is to be a heroine saving the poor. The magesty grant Nadia’s father a sword and increase his troop’s salary. Nadia’s father drinks with the prince’s uncle. The prince’s uncle request to let Nadia and his son marry. The majesty’s cousin called Nadia’s father his father in law and requested to let him marry Nadia. Nadia’s father agrees. In the morning, Bobby’s mother told Marianne that Bobby has left. Marianne search for Bobby worrying he will see Nadia. Bobby bids farewell to Nadia and sent a message for the majesty. Marianne saw Bobby and stood in front of him. Bobby told Marianne he’s been taking a walk. Bobby told Marianne he has a meeting with his chef buddy in the teahouse. Marianne wants to tag along. Bobby and Marianne ordered lots of food and wait for his friend but he didn’t arrive. Marianne pinched Bobby and asked him to not dare to lie. Bobby’s friend arrive and apologized he came late. Bobby pinched Marianne and said they are making love.

The majesty took a walk with Nadia and asked her if she’s afraid of height. The majesty held Nadia and jumped on the roof. The majesty told Nadia they will help the poor tonight. The majesty and Nadia sat on a family’s room. The majesty gave a silver to Nadia. The majesty flew with Nadia throwing silvers in the house. The majesty and Nadia flew around the neighborhood giving silvers to the poor. A watchman yelled at the majesty and Nadia and asked what are they doing. The majesty and Nadia ran and laughed. The majesty and Nadia visited a blind lady. The majesty claimed she is her son’s best friend and gave her some silvers. The majesty and Nadia thrilled to see people thrilled seeing food and silvers in front of them. Nadia asked the majesty what is his business. The majesty said he is twenty eight years old and don’t have a wife. The majesty held Nadia’s hand and asked her when can he see her again.

As Nadia returned home, Nadia’s parents told Nadia that the prince’s uncle gave them gifts and requested to arrange marriage between her and his son.  Nadia told her father she doesn’t like the majesty’s cousin. Nadia told her father she won’t marry the majesty’s cousin. She doesn’t love him. Nadia madly left. Nadia came to Bobby’s restaurant and asked Bobby if he knows where is the majesty. Nadia walked alone in the woods. The majesty’s cousin came up to Nadia an invited her to go hunting. The majesty grabbed Nadia’s hands and picked her up riding his horse with her. The majesty’s cousin madly shot an arrow at the majesty.

Bobby hosts the charity in his restaurant. Marianne waits for the majesty to arrive. Marianne pushed the bottle of perfumes on the lady and the lady eyes hurts. Marianne asked Nadia to replace the lady dressed in a french dress to served the food at the charity. The wealthy people bids for the food. The majesty is glad seeing his cousin doing some charity. The majesty’s cousin bids the food for Nadia. Nadia wears the french dress and the black mask. The majesty stared at Nadia taking out the mask and it reminded him of Consort Tak and how they used to dance together. Nadia holds the mushroom dish. The majesty’s cousin bids one thousand gold. The majesty bids two thousand golds. The majesty’s cousin bids three thousand golds. The majesty bids four thousand golds. The majesty’s cousin bids five thousand golds. The majesty bids six thousand golds. The majesty’s cousin bids seven thousand golds. Everyone stands up and gets shocked when he majesty bids one million dollars. The majesty’s cousin got mad and told Nadia that the person behind the blind probably can’t pay that sum of money. The majesty’s cousin read the letter from the majesty under a pseudonym. The majesty’s cousin ordered Bobby to find that person. Marianne took the majesty’s cousin to meet Nadia. The majesty told Bobby that Nadia’s face looks like Consort Tak. The majesty asked Bobby to invite Nadia to see him. Marianne asked Bobby if the majesty noticed Nadia. Bobby told Marianne that the majesty was only bidding for charity; he doesn’t have a crush on Nadia. Roger washes his face and blames himself for sleeping with his ex. Roger’s ex gave Fiona a fan as a gift.

Nadia visited the majesty and asked him about the money from the charity. The majesty invited Nadia go on the canoe and watch the moon or have a drink on the mountain. Nadia got mad thinking the majesty has another motive to see her. The majesty gave Nadia the cheque.

Marianne showed Bobby the love words she sewed on his apron. Bobby found it humiliating reading those words. Bobby put the shirt away. Marianne brought the apron and put it on Bobby. The chefs teased Bobby. While Bobby is sleeping, Marianne asked Bobby who does he love the most. Bobby whined that she asked him that question many times. Bobby said she loves Marianne forever. Marianne sewed a pair of love outfit and shoes for Bobby and her. They wore and it and the people laugh at them. Bobby hurriedly left and told Marianne he can’t stand wearing those outfits with those cheesy love quotes. Marianne whined that she hurt her fingers by sewing those clothes and now he blames her. She’s doing it for him. Bobby told Marianne if she feels stressful dong it, then she doesn’t have to do it. Marianne said she’s worried he will leave her like Roger leaving his wife. Marianne cries and said she is afraid he will leave her for a nice girl. Bobby told Marianne she is so silly, he only likes strong girl like her. Marianne asked Bobby to make a vow. Bobby vowed that if he changes his heart he won’t be able to eat good food and will get beheaded if he cooks. Marianne happily hugged Bobby. Nadia read the letter of apology from the majesty. The majesty’s cousin brought some orphans to Nadia and asked them to greets Nadia as their godmother. Nadia have a headache. Bobby asked the majesty’s cousin to search for the best doctor in the palace to treat her.

Bobby took Nadia for a cup of tea. Bobby greets the majesty. Bobby told the majesty that Nadia has been looking for a shelter for the orphans. The majesty and Nadia watch Justice Sung driving away the elder lady from her house. The majesty asked Justice Sung to pay double the rent of the house for the elder lady every year. Justice Sung signed the contract. The majesty explains to Justice Sung that each year, he has to pay double the price he paid from the previous year. Justice Sung got mad and left. The majesty brought a cup of water from the stream for Nadia. Nadia recite a poem. Nadia told the majesty she thinks he misunderstood the meaning of the poem from the banned novel like others. Nadia said she has a dream of publishing this banned poem to a book.

Bobby invited Roger to eat hotpot with her but he refuses. Roger told Bobby not to cook hotpot for the majesty since he has a cold. The chef injured and told Bobby that he’s been hit for taking the blame for losing the banned novel. The chef told Bobby he remembered Wilson returning the key to him when he left the library. Bobby figured out that Wilson duplicates the key by rolling it on the flour. Bobby swear he will return to the kitchen and kick Wilson out.

Akina served desserts for the Empress Dowager. Empress Dowager asked the majesty if he thought of appointing Akina as the queen. The majesty has no opinion. The majesty gave Akina a gingseng and nominating him as a consort and asked her to take care of the Empress Dowager. The majesty wants to sorting out the manuels. The majesty gave the job to Roger to assist the elder magistrate to sort out the manuels. Marianne do the hair and dresses up for Bobby. Bobby said he hasn’t met the majesty for a long time. Bobby brought for the majesty a special chicken. The majesty used a hammer to chop down the rock. Bobby served the chicken for the majesty. The majesty tasted it and found it delicious and wished he made it for Consort Tak. Bobby told the majesty that Consort Tak is kind and probably is in the heaven. What has happened can’t be turned back. Bobby said he was useless of not being able to save Consort Tak. Consort Tak will know they are thinking of her. The majesty told Bobby he will open a new restaurant for him near the palace.

Marianne fell down the bed and blinked when watching the mirror. Nadia picked Marianne up. Marianne asked Nadia to choose a jade bracelet for her. A girl sat and cried for losing her parents. Nadia gave Marianne to give the poor girl some money. Nadia visits Bobby and said she plans to open a charity to help the elders in his grand opening. The majesty’s cousin brought gifts for Nadia. Nadia’s maid told Marianne that the majesty’s cousin followed Nadia from JiangNan to the palace. He always buy stuff for Nadia. Nadia told the majesty’s cousin he doesn’t need to waste time on her. Nadia asked the majesty’s cousin why doesn’t he focus on his work. The majesty’s cousin is impressed that Nadia cares for him. The majesty’s cousin drove away his wives to be with Nadia. Mariannae smiled and said this proves that the majesty’s cousin is loyal to Nadia. The majesty’s cousin fought with his father that he will only marry Nadia. The majesty’s uncle laughed and supports his son.

Fiona served food for the magistrate. Roger said he’s busy working. Roger got a fever and said he needs to finish his work. Roger took the blame for forgetting on putting the date. The majesty yelled at Roger. Roger coughed and Fiona plead the majesty. The majesty asked Roger to go home and rest, he’ll hand over the task for others. Roger feels shameful when his mother thanked Fiona for sacrificing so much for him. Roger’s ex-girlfriend eavesdrop at Roger yelling at Fiona that he caused her to suffer. Roger’s ex-girlfriend cheered Roger up that he took care of his mother and his wife is already being a good model. Roger’s ex-girlfriend brought a jacket for Roger and tripped. Roger’s ex-girlfriend told Roger that Fiona cares about him.

Marianne blinks again. Marianne saw Roger going with his ex. Marianne confronted Roger for being with his ex. Marianne asked Roger’s ex to leave faster. Roger forbids his ex to leave. Bobby cooked meat with light. The majesty’s cousin servants brought a basket of flowers for Nadia. The majesty’s cousin paid a man to sit in the front table in the charity. Marianne asked Bobby if the majesty is coming to the restaurant. A lady yelled at Fiona for not knowing how to put her bow. Nadia do the hair for the lady. Roger’s ex girlfriend sent a farewell letter to Roger. Roger went to the house and saw his ex drinking. Roger drinks with his ex. Roger’s ex-girlfriend told Roger she can stay here alone; she asked him to leave. Roger sees there’s no wine left and he left. Roger’s ex-girlfriend wants to hang herself and said she feels uncomfortable hearing rumors. Roger’s ex tripped and Roger held her. Fiona waits for Roger to come to the restaurant.
